Society PARTY is non-governmental organization founded in 2014 in Latvia, Riga that unites professional contemporary dance artists and specializes in:
- The creation and production of dance performances, events, workshops and educational programs (approximately 70 yearly);
- Support of Latvian dance artists to realize their ideas.
- Creation and realization of collaboration projects with foreign artists and companies;
- Touring and promote the contemporary dance in Latvia and Latvian contemporary dance abroad. We have been in Finland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Lithuania, China, North Macedonia, USA, Spain, Russia.
PARTY also organizes annual International Contemporary Dance Festival “Laiks dejot” (Time to Dance) in Riga, Latvia (www.laiksdejotfestivals.lv)
In 2014 PARTY unite 15 dance artists and created Contemporary Dance Artists Union “ARA” (there were also Dance Company “ARA” with 13 dancers (2015-2017)).
Olga Zitluhina – dancer, choreographer, teacher and the Head of Contemporary Dance Department at the Latvian Academy of Culture and artistic director of the Festival “Laiks dejot”, leads PARTY. Olga Zitluhina Dance Company (1996–2012) was the first contemporary dance company in Latvia.
Baiba Ozolina – culture manager and producer (music, dance) works with dance projects from 2006 and at PARTY from the very beginning. She has a BA and MA from Latvian Academy of Culture in Culture Theory, History and Management.
